2 SUVs Flipped in Ogden Avenue Crash Monday

Eastbound Ogden was closed for an hour Monday morning after an accident that sent two people to the hospital.

Two drivers were transported to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital after a crash on Ogden Avenue Monday morning that left two vehicles overturned in a ditch on the south side of the road, according to Deputy Chief Mark Wodka of the Hinsdale Police Department.

Estelle D. Uriaub, 79, of the 400 block of Lake Avenue, Downers Grove, was cited for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after, while driving her SUV on eastbound Ogden Avenue near Madison Street at 8:45 a.m., she abruptly changed lanes and sideswiped another eastbound SUV being driven by a 44-year-old Yorkville man, police said.

The vehicles ended up in the ditch, and both drivers suffered "non-incapacitating injuries," Wodka said.
