La Grange's newest yogurt shop should be open in the next few weeks.

Franchesee Sam Sheth on Feb. 8 will open his second Forever Yogurt store at 71 S. La Grange Rd. in downtown La Grange.

The store was originally slated to open in July, Forever Yogurt co-founder Mandy Calara told Patch in a previous interview.

Calara said that Forever Yogurt tries to stay away from the stereotypical, sterile feel of most yogurt shops, “We try and really create a brand and an ambiance where people enjoy coming,” she said.

Forever Yogurt opened in June 2010 and began franchising two years later. Calara told Patch La Grange fits the brand well because of the downtown area that draws people to town.

Co-founder Ahmad Yilmaz said in a previous interview that the La Grange location will also be about twice the size of the standard Forever Yogurt, seating 40 and offering 10 yogurt machines (most locations have eight). They offer about 80 flavors, including Maple Bacon Donut, Red Velvet Cake and Root Beer Float.
