Patch introduces some unique entertainment opportunities happening in the area this weekend.

1) The Poseidon Adventure's Original Cast

Where/When: Hollywood Blvd. Cinema in Woodridge, Friday, 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Why Go: Academy-Award Winner Ernest Borgnine, Stella Stevens, Carol Lynley and Pamela Sue Martin will be available for a meet and greet.

Pricing: $12 for the movie ticket and $20 for a posed picture or autograph. Advance ticket purchase neccessary.

2) Organic Theater Presents: The Naked King 

Where/When: Meiley-Swallow Hall at North Central College, Naperville, Friday, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Sunday 2 p.m.

Why Go: A creative and comedic production (for teens and older) that combines  tales by Hans Christian Andersen.

3) Anne Frank: A History For Today

Where/When: Elmhurst Historical Museum, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Why Go: An intimate look at a remarkable girl who chronicled her thoughts during a horrendous part of history. Sponsored by the Anne Frank Center  USA. Check out the  links on the Elmhurst Historical Museum site for actual footage of her and an interview with her father.

4) Eddie Holstein Performs Live

Where/When: Two Way Street Coffee House, Downers Grove, Friday, 8:15 p.m.

Why Go: A great chance to hear the stylings of a Chicago Folk Art fixture who has been on the scene for more than 40 years.

Pricing: $7; Beverages available for purchase

5)  

Where/When: Q Billiards and Sports Bar, Saturday, 10 p.m.

Why Go: If you're feelin' rowdy, this four man metal and Southern rock band might be just what you're lookin' for. But only if you're 21 or older.

Great list Michelle! One thing: I'm old enough to actually have seen "The Poseidon Adventure" the first time it was in theaters and it was Pamela Sue Martin who was in the film, not Pamela Anderson.

Oh my goodness, Dennis, you are so right and I apologize! Funny, I watched Pamela Sue Martin regularly as Nancy Drew and on "Dynasty" and never once have I seen an episode of "Baywatch" with Pamela Anderson! Thank you for pointing that out!
