It is open to the public and weather permitting.
Guests can enjoy a variety of free family-friendly activities while they anxiously await the arrival of Santa Claus and the Jingle Mingle Parade. Complimentary activities during the event include live performances from the Gower school choir, KB Adorables and Men in Black from the King Bruwaert Retirement Community, live reindeer on display, holiday-themed arts and crafts projects will be available at Santa's Workshop with festive rewards await the first 900 participants. Take a ride on the Miracle Family Express trackless train and be sure to stop by Red 21 where they'll be giving away glow-in-the-dark necklaces to the first 1,000 guests. Artistic elves will provide complimentary face painting throughout the event; however, these elves are "freezin' for a reason". Donations are warmly welcomed and benefit Misericordia Heart of Mercy. Guests are also invited to donate non-perishable food items to the DuPage County Food Bank and register for a chance to win a Village Center gift card.
The third annual Jingle Mingle parade will kick off at the east end of Village Center Drive at 5:00 p.m. It will travel the length of the Village Center, arriving for the tree lighting ceremony on the Village Green at approximately 5:15. Santa, joined by some very special guests will lead the crowd in a countdown to light the holiday tree. Immediately afterward, Santa will head down to Red 21 where children can pay him a visit or take a photo for $5. Pictures will be available for pick-up at the event thanks to the expertise of the digital photographers at Fodeo.
