Report: Burr Ridge Businessman Donates $1 Million to DuPage Children's Museum

Pledge will account for 6 percent of the museum's budget for the next five years.

A Burr Ridge businessman's pledge of $1 million to the DuPage Children's Museum will pay for nearly 6 percent of its operating budget for the next five years, according to a TribLocal report.

The Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation will donate $200,000 a year to cover general operation costs, starting in 2013.

“Investing in young children provides great returns for their future and for the future of our communities,” said McDaniel in a press announcement about the donation.  “I respect and value all the Museum does for kids and I am pleased to make this contribution to their future.”
