Patch Picks: Five Halloween Events

These events will get you in the Halloween spirit.

Just in time for autumn weather, Halloween events are happening all around. Check out five below:

1. All Hallow's Eve celebration at , 15w400 Harvester Drive, Burr Ridge

On Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the will offer indoor and outdoor activities for kids. Inside there will be a cookie walk, games with prizes and cold blooded creatures. Outside, there will be an enchanted playground and popcorn with hayrides. The cost for Burr Ridge residents is $8 per child and for non-residents $12 per child. Kids under 2 can take part free.

2. Trinity Lutheran Taffy Apple Sale, 11500 German Church Road, Burr Ridge

's annual taffy apple sale will take place all day on October 14 at the school. The sale is a fundraiser, and will feature flavors such as Triple Chocolate Chip and Gourmet Chocolate Almond.

3. , , 28 E. Hinsdale, Hinsdale

Classic Kids Photography and  will host a Halloween pet parade at 6:30pm on October 20. The event will feature a wine tasting from , refreshments from , doggie cupcakes from High Hopes for Pets, and a raffle. Dog owners will also have the opportunity for their pets to participate in mini photo shoots in their costumes. 4. , Clarendon Hills Park District, 315 Chicago Ave., Clarendon Hills

The will host a family pumpkin carving party from noon to 2pm on October 22. Each family will get a pumpkin and carving tools, and visitors can enjoy a showing of the class film "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" The program costs $7 per family for Clarendon Hills residents, and $9 for non-residents. Register in advance at the Community Center at 315 Chicago Ave.

5. , , 302 S. Grant, Hinsdale

On Saturday, October 15, the Anderson Architecture Center at Immanuel Hall will host a haunted house-building activity for kids ages 8 and up. Families can stop by any time between 10am and noon, and the cost is $5 per child. All supplies will be provided. For more information, call 630.654.9500.
