Get Out: Celebrate Valentine's Day Weekend with Music and Comedy

It's Thursday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.

1. "SPIKE HEELS"
Where/When: 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sunday in Madden Theatre at North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville.
Why Go: The is described by the college as "a perfect interlude for those who know what it's like to fall in and out of love." The show contains strong language and suggestive material and is appropriate for ages 16+.
Pricing: $5, $3 for students and seniors.

2. SECOND CITY PERFORMANCE
Where/When: 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at , 5500 S Grant St.
Why Go: Chicago's legendary comedy theatre troupe's features sketches about Hinsdale Central, as well as some of the best sketches,
songs and improvisations from The Second City's 50-year history. In addition to benefiting the clubs and teams of Hinsdale Central, the proceeds from this event are going to an improved sound system for the auditorium.
Pricing: $45; $25 for students and high school staff.

3. DUPAGE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERT
Where/When: 3 p.m. Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville.
Why Go: The DuPage Symphony Orchestra celebrates the music of , featuring excerpts from his ballet "Romeo and Juliet," followed by “Kije’s Wedding” and the “Troika” from "Lt. Kije." The second half of the program offers the score from Sergei Eisenstein’s 1938 film "Alexander Nevsky."
Pricing: $28 for adults, $25 for seniors, $11 for students.

4. A VALENTINE CONCERT: LOVE'S SWEET SONGS
Where/When: 3 p.m. Sunday at ,
1032 Maple Ave., Downers Grove.
Why Go: The winter concert of the series presented by the Downers Grove Choral Society.
Pricing: $20; $15 for ages 60+; $5 students; free for children 13 and under with an adult.

5. SONGS FROM THE HEART
Where/When:2-4 p.m. Sunday at , 401 Plainfied Road, Darien.
Why Go: Pianist Eugene Kwok will perform a selection of romantic songs.
