ROCKTOBERFEST to ROCK the WESTERN SUBURBS on September 21st

The annual Western Suburbs fall celebration, Rocktoberfest, is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2013.  Rocktoberfest, presented by the Women’s Auxiliary of the Community Nurse Health Center, will be from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Gordon Park (La Grange Road and Ogden Avenue) in La Grange.

 

General admission tickets are $15 in advance at Devries Grocery; 806 W Arlington Avenue in La Grange, Community Nurse Corner Shop; 27 Calendar Avenue in La Grange  or online at www.therocktoberfest.com. Day of tickets will be sold at the door for $20.

Live music, featuring a new lineup of bands; Teknical Diffickulties will kick off the night with a   classics from bands like Pearl Jam, The Offspring, Green Day and The Ramones.  They will be followed by Far-Sighted, a band of Lyons Township High School students who recently won the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce Battle of the Bands.  Wedding Banned will close out the night featuring the hottest party in the Midwest; playing lots of 80′s and 90′s hits and other surprises. Their unique performance combines music and audience interactions.

Have your cold beer poured by famous local faces! Celebrity bartenders will accept tips online and at the event in hopes of becoming the 2013 “Celebrity Bartender of the Year”.  (A list of Celebrity bartenders will be announced soon).

 

Great food provided by Devries, La Cabinata, and other vendors will be available as well as some fantastic raffle prizes.

 

“We expect another great crowd this year.  Folks from the Western Suburbs enjoy our twist on Oktoberfest," said Lisa Schumacher, Chair of the event. “It’s a unique and fun event that really fills a niche in our communities.  It’s a great night to meet up with friends and neighbors, enjoy a fun evening out, and raise money for an organization that helps so many.”  


Community Nurse Health Center is a 501(c)3 not for profit corporation and Federally Qualified Health Center. Its mission is dedicated to enhancing the health of our community and serves as a community healthcare center for residents of the western suburbs of Chicago.
