Oil Paintings Taken from Home, Hit-and-Run on Burr Ridge Pkwy: Police

Monday, March 11

Uninsured motor vehicle

A driver was cited for operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration around 1:03 a.m. near the intersection of Route 83 and Jackson, Burr Ridge police said.

Sunday, March 10

Oil paintings, car stereo stolen

A car stereo and two oil paintings were missing from a home in the 00W200 block of 77th Street after the homeowner hired a painting service, police said. The items were worth $1,600.

Warrant arrest

Christopher R. Woosely, 32, of the 6500 block of Conrad in Hodgkins, was arrested around 1:08 a.m. near the intersection of Plainfield and High Grove, police said. He was stopped and cited for speeding and arrested on a Westmont police warrant.

No driver’s license

Rebecca E. Rodriguez, 21, of the 5400 block of West 64th Street in Chicago, was arrested around 3:39 p.m. near the intersection of Madison and North Frontage, police said. She was charged with driving without a license.

Saturday, March 9

DUI near Rte. 83 and I-55

Andrzej Mrozek, 54, of the 1200 block of Arbor Drive in Lemont, was arrested around 2:36 a.m near Route 83 and Interstate 55, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

No driver’s license

Miguel Contreras, 27, of the 7000 block of North Ridge Boulevard in Chicago, was arrested around 4:25 p.m. near County Line Road and I-55, police said. He was charged with driving without a license.

Friday, March 8

Hit-and-run on Burr Ridge Parkway

A white Mercedes struck a truck stopped around 8:21 a.m. in the 100 block of Burr Ridge Parkway, police said. The Mercedes left the scene. There wasn’t any damage to the truck and no one was injured.

Thursday, March 7

DUI near 77th and Forest Hill

Donald Donaldson, 58, of the 5400 block of West 64th Street in Chicago, was arrested around 1:36 a.m. near the intersection of 77th and Forest Hill, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Suspended, revoked license

Melvin L. Rhames, 32, of the 5900 block of South Marshfield in Chicago, was arrested around 11:56 p.m. near the intersection of Rte. 83 and Mockingbird Lane, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
