Morning Briefing: Attorney General Not Pursuing Bond Fraud Investigation, Rain Expected

A quick roundup of this morning's news stories.

2. District 86 has decided not to pursue bond fraud allegations from school board member Diane Barrett.

3. District 86 has decided to pull out of the La Grange Area Department of Special Education co-op. The move leaves LADSE with only two high school districts among the 16 school districts that are members.

4. The Gower school district is starting its search for a new superintendent. Current superintendent Steve Griesbach is scheduled to retire next June.

5. Don't forget your umbrella. There's a 50 percent chance of rain today, according to the National Weather Service. Showers are expected between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., and thunderstorms are expected after 1 p.m. The high will be around 77 degrees and low around 58 degrees, according to weather.com.
