Jan. 28-30: Wine, Huskies and Valentines This Weekend

Check out some live music and a chance to see Siberian Huskies in action.

 

Friday

Live Music at Cooper's Hawk

Enjoy some music with your wine! Guitarist Michael Beetley will perform classic and contemporary rock from 7 to 10 p.m. at Cooper's Hawk.

Saturday

Husky Heroes: Meet the Huskies

Come to the Morton Arboretum for a live Siberian Husky sled pulling and speed demonstration. Get a chance to meet the dogs and sign-up to adopt a Husky without a home. Runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  

“Guardians of Ga’hoole” Party

Children ages 8 to 12 are welcome to the Burr Ridge Park District to watch “Guardians of Ga’hoole” from noon to 2:30 p.m. Games, crafts, trivia, make-your-own-owl pizza and whoo-cookies included. Costs $20.

Design a Valentine

Show how much you adore that special someone by making them a Valentine at the Indian Prairie Library Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Materials will be provided.

Sunday

Hinsdale Center for the Arts Jazz Brunch

Join the Hinsdale Center for the Arts to hear a mix of Brazilian, Latin, jazz, classic pop and other favorites performed by Marshall Vente and Glenn Reitsma. Performace is at Vincitori, 14 N. Cass Ave. in Westmont from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $50. For more information call the HCA at 630-887-0203.
