Hinsdale Central Students Charged With Fighting, iPhone Theft: Police Blotter

THURSDAY, FEB. 7

Teen Girls Cited for Fight

Two 16-year-old female Hinsdale Central students, one from Clarendon Hills and one from Westmont, were cited for fighting after the school resource officer responded to the two pushing and fighting near the high school’s main entrance at 3 p.m., police said.

The students were referred to a juvenile diversion court program, where they’ll go in front of a peer jury. Police said they were not charged as adults.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 6

Student Found With Stolen Phone

A 15-year-old male Hinsdale Central student was cited for theft after he was found with an iPhone that was taken after being left accidentally on a classroom countertop within the school at 9:45 a.m., police said.

The teen, who lives in Willowbrook, was referred to a juvenile diversion court program.
