A garbage truck rolled over near the intersection of Route 83 and Plainfield Road at approximately 8:30 a.m., according to Deputy Chief Jack Mancione of the Tri-State Fire Protection District.
The driver of the truck was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, Mancione said. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
"Basically, it was a garbage truck that had overturned for no apparent reason," Mancione said.
There was no hazard caused by the accident other than the blocked roadway. Traffic was not severely affected, Mancione said, and the accident has been cleared.
