50 Capitols in 50 Days: First Day of Mickey Straub's Trip in Books
Mickey Straub kicked off his odyssey in Harrisburg, Pa., Tuesday and got some news coverage.
After a fun sendoff Saturday morning, Burr Ridge resident Mickey Straub's "50 Capitols in 50 Days" trip across the United States officially got underway Tuesday, and some media outlets are starting to take notice.
The 50 Capitols in 50 Days Facebook page told the story Tuesday.
Straub's morning began at the Gettysburg Hotel and included a trip to the David Willis House, where Abraham Lincoln finished the famed Gettysburg Address, which Straub plans to read at all 50 state capitols in 50 days.
From Gettysburg, it was on to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania's capital, for Straub's first address. While there, Fox's local affiliate was there to interview the Lincoln enthusiast.
That local station is the only media outlet reporting on Straub's trip. The Daily Herald featured Straub in a Sunday story while the Times Leader and the Gettysburg Times in Pennsylvania both wrote about the trip.
