Burr Ridge Police Report Rash of Vehicle Burglaries
The public reports nine incidents of theft, burglary or trespassing to police over four days.
Nine separate reports of vehicles in Burr Ridge being illegally entered, most of which also detailed missing items, were made to the Burr Ridge Police Department between Aug. 18 and Aug. 21.
Two incidents occurred in a parking lot on the 600 block of Burr Ridge Parkway, while a batch of cars on 75th Street and 73rd Place were also hit for whatever cash was inside.
Deputy Chief Tim Vaclav reported that all of the vehicles were unlocked, except for one. No arrests have been made, and Vaclav said the department believes some of the incidents may be related, based on time and proximity.
