Woman Escorted from Judy Biggert Event: Police Blotter

Burr Ridge police reports, Oct. 3-9.

 

TUESDAY, OCT. 9

Woman Sneaks Into Biggert Event

A woman snuck into a building in the 6900 block of Veterans Boulevard at 10:19 a.m. for an event at which Congresswoman Judy Biggert (R-IL) was to appear. She was escorted from the property and security did not sign a complaint. 

MONDAY, OCT. 8

House Guest Refuses to Leave

A resident from the 8600 block of Heather Drive reported to police at 7:12 p.m. that a guest of the resident's who was an old friend refused to leave the home. Police said the resident asked for officers to escort the guest, who was transported to a Willowbrook hotel.

SUNDAY, OCT. 7

Woodridge Man Charged With DUI

Christian P. Banach, 33, of the 1700 block of Tower Hill Drive, Woodridge, was charged with DUI after he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use and driving without headlights near the intersection of Route 83 and I-55 at 5:09 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test, police said.

Banach was charged with two counts of DUI, and one count each of improper lane use and driving without headlights. He was released to appear in court.

SATURDAY, OCT. 6

Lockport Man Charged With DUI

Matthew J. Rotroff, 29, of the 16700 block of west Adobe Drive, Lockport, was charged with DUI after he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for speeding in the 5700 block of County Line Road at 3:01 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test, police said.

Rotroff was charged with two counts of DUI and one count of speeding. He was released to appear in court.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3

Warrant Arrest Made

Krste Povlovkski, 22, of the 11S400 block of Rachel Court, Hinsdale, was charged by police when it was discovered he had a failure-to-appear-in-court arrest warrant out after he was pulled over for a moving violation near the intersection of Burr Ridge Parkway and Lifetime Drive at 5:35 p.m., police said. He was released after posting bond.
