6 Candidates Vying for 4 Seats on Pleasantdale 107 School Board

One of the six is a sitting board members seeking re-election to the board in April.

 

Six candidates including one sitting board members filed nominating papers to run for four open Pleasantdale School District 107 Board of Education seats and will appear on the April 9 ballot, an email from district administration said.

The portion of the ballot for District 107 school board will include the following names: 

  • Mark Mirabile
  • Kimberly Barker
  • Douglas J. Gilman
  • Gregory M. Sengpiel
  • Kristin Violante
  • Michael Hawbaker

Mirabile is the only sitting board member seeking re-election. The other five would be newcomers.

Barker, Gilman, Sengpiel and Violante have formed a slate they call Focus 4 the Future.

I am so excited that Focus 4 the Future is running. I know that these 4 can bring some MUCH NEEDED change to our district. Kim Barker, Doug Gilman, Greg Sengpiel, and Kristin Violante defiantly have my vote.

The Focus4theFuture candidate slate will be presenting themselves at the La Grange Area League of Women Voters - Candidates' Forum for School District 107. The forum will be held at Pleasantdale Park District, 7500 S. Wolf Road, Burr Ridge on Tuesday, March 19th at 7:00pm. The public is invited to meet the candidates and listen to the moderator Ms. Jan Goldberg.
