The Burr Ridge Veterans Memorial Committee will accept nominations for its new Patriot Award.  The award criteria are as follows:

• Nominee has served or is currently serving in the Armed Forces and/or has been supportive of veterans and those currently serving in our Armed Forces
• Nominee has demonstrated outstanding support for our country and the United States Constitution
• Nominee has initiated programs to help youth and others remember and honor those who are currently serving or have served our country.

Nominations should be submitted in writing using the nomination form available on the Village’s website (www.burr-ridge.gov) and sent to the Burr Ridge Village Hall (Attn: Veterans Committee, 7660 County Line Road, Burr Ridge, IL 60527) by April 15, 2013. Nominees do not have to be residents of Burr Ridge.

The winner will be chosen by a committee no later than May 10th and the award will be presented at the Armed Forces' Day Celebration on May 18, 2013. Winners will receive a plaque and the name of the winner will be on a Burr Ridge Patriotic Award Plaque that hangs in the Burr Ridge Village Hall.  Questions? Call the Village Hall at (630) 654-8181.
